The Forest : My Temple

The Forest : My Temple Necklace
A piece made in honor of the places I call sanctuary.
I need only walk into the woodlands to remember who I am and what I breathe for,
to sense my greater connection to the beating heart that is the planet,
and to recapture that child-like sense of awe and wonder so easily forgotten living in this grown up world.
When I am lost I go to the forest, my temple, and I am found.

Made with Sterling Silver and a gorgeous orb of Prehnite.

This necklace will be part of an upcoming shop update.
Thank you for being here!

My latest work is really striking a heart chord with me, I feel like I'm falling into my artistic voice.
Ah, what a feeling it is.
I'm inspired and full of ideas.
May you be too in whatever it is your heart chooses to do!
Much love!

Happy New Year!

May you close the door on things no longer meant for you.
May you be open to possibility and adventure.
And may you be inspired, whole, and happy in this coming new year!

As many of you may know, I've been sick for quite some time and to be gently leaving it behind is nothing short of profound.  I'm so ready for new beginnings.
Thank you all for being a part of this incredible journey.
Happy New Year!

Winter's Hush

*Sold*

Winter's icy hush is here, with its tendrils of frost that crawl like a blanket across the earth, coaxing it into a soft, white slumber. And, under its spell, the creatures of the land calm and still likewise.
May this season bring you peace, quiet, endings - and new beginnings.
New work can be found here.
So much love!

A Manifesto For Living

I've learned so much in these last few years on what it means to be alive; to be human.
Being ill has given me a depth and an understanding that being healthy could never do.
This is what I've learned:
Hardships have hidden gifts, but you must look for them if you are to find them.
You lose, you love, you fall, you rise. Life is a rollercoaster you are meant to ride.
You are in the midst of living *now*. Don't wait for tomorrow.
Wait for tomorrow.  Maybe being kind and gracious to yourself is all you need for today.
Fear is often present, but you can give it a seat backstage.
You don't need permission.
Laugh. Cry. Shout. Feel.
Suffering happens, but so does healing.
Kindness is always an option.
Drop the dialogue of "can't" so that you can be open to "can".
Loving yourself is the first step.
There is always another opportunity to begin again.
Nature and animals have wisdom to share.  You need only silence your own thoughts to hear them.
Dare to be great, but be open to remaining small.
Time is a great burden and yet, the greatest gift.
Say yes more often.
Say no more often.
You don't need to label yourself.  You can be a multitude of things.
Don't get so carried away with where you're going that you forget where you are.
Change happens; roll with it.
Say less, do more.
You can be both strong and fragile at the same time.
An open mind is a peaceful mind.
Accept life as it is. It does not get any easier, but accepting it will make it so.
And most of all this: death is inevitable - living optional.
Do you have anything to add?

Andi

Life is Golden

Life is golden lately.
I've been walking through the towering pines and creek beds as often as I can.
It's an amazing thing, as the last few years this proved an impossible feat.
And on these walks, I've been saving butterflies.
Their little bodies lie prone against the icy creek water where they await their watery deaths.
I lift them out and help their papery wings to dry.
It's so good to watch them unfurl into the sky ready to fulfill yet another rotation under the sun.
Nature is an amazing thing, and it's so healing to be out in it; to be a participant in it.
To participate in life once again is a grand, grand thing.

Hope you're enjoying your summer (or winter!)
Much love,
Andi
