By the Light of an Ancient Moon

Lately I've been dreaming about the stars, the planets, the moon.
How little our orbiting Earth must look from that wide open galaxy.
It begs the question what's out there, who are we?
I wanted to create something that could somehow encapsulate these thoughts.
So to start, I created a piece depicting the Moon.

The Moon is the ruler of Change.
She is the fastest moving of all the planets, her phases in perpetual motion.
Change is the force that guides all of our lives.
After all, to be alive means to be in a constant state of change.
With the new moon on the rise, a new year is ushered in.
In my part of the world, the light is returning, and the dark grows dimmer.
New beginnings are afoot.
I'm grateful for change, I'm excited by new possibilities, what this new year has in store for me.
May you embrace change,
the growing of the light,
and have a new year full of beauty, peace, and all good things.

This necklace can be found here.
'By the Light of an Ancient Moon'
Created by hand, hammer, saw, and torch.
Solid Sterling & Fine Silver Construction
Dendritic Opal, also known as Merlinite-
I view the stone as a moonlight scene, see the tiny moon shining between a stand of trees?
And it is symbolic of the darkness fading into light.

I'm glad you're here!
xx,
Andi
